Light Experiment Kiosk with Geometrical Optics
This kiosk contains various optical components, such as lenses, prisms, and mirrors. Users can manipulate a beam of laser light and observe how it interacts with the different optical elements, learning about reflection, refraction, and the behavior of light.
Large Horizontal Kaleidoscope
A large, triangular kaleidoscope consisting of three large mirrors, each approximately 2 meters in length and 40 cm in width. When viewers look through one end of the kaleidoscope, they see endless reflections of objects around them, creating beautiful and mesmerizing symmetrical patterns.
Optical Fiber Model with Flowing Water
This device consists of a tank with water flowing through a tube. A green laser is projected through the water, and the light follows the curved path of the water as it flows, illustrating total internal reflection, a principle used in fiber optics.
Two-View Shape
A three-dimensional object designed so that its cross-section looks like four circles when viewed from one angle, but like four squares when viewed through a mirror. This exhibit teaches about perspective and how different viewpoints can change the appearance of an object.
Double-Faced Box
A box with two adjoining walls featuring windows. When viewed from one window, the box appears to contain a 3D model of a cow’s head, while viewing from the other window reveals a completely different 3D image. This illusion demonstrates how perspective can alter visual perception.
