These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website www.scibroland.com and any associated services, applications, or platforms operated by SCIBRO. By accessing or using our website and purchasing our Products, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
In these Terms, "we", "our", or "us" refers to SCIBRO and its subsidiaries/associated brands (the "Company"), "you" or "your" is a reference to any customer/end-user, comes with all applicable rights and obligations included in proper consumer protection laws.
By accessing or using this site, or placing an order for any Product, you confirm that:
- you agree to be bound by these Terms;
- you agree to regularly review the Terms;
- if you are under 18 years of age or legally incapable of entering into a binding contract, you agree to have a parent or legal guardian accept these Terms and supervise your use of the site.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use this Site or purchase any Products.
1. Accounts
1.1 Registration
To use certain features of the Site and to purchase Products, you may need to create an account. When creating an account, you must:
- provide accurate, current, and complete information;
- select a strong password and keep it confidential;
- refrain from using someone else's account or impersonating anyone;
- notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
1.2 Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for keeping your Account information accurate, including shipping and billing details.
1.3 Security of Your Account
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account. We are not liable if unauthorized access occurs as a result of your failure to protect your account details.
1.4 Our Right to Refuse
We may, in our sole discretion, refuse to create an Account, provide services, or fulfill any order, without liability to you.
1.5 Permission to Contact You
By creating an Account or subscribing to our mailing list, you consent to receive emails/notifications about your orders, promotions, and updates. You may opt out of non-transactional marketing emails at any time, but not from critical service-related messages.
2. Subscriptions & Payments
2.1 Prices and Currency
All prices shown on the Site are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to change without further notice. Taxes (including applicable provincial and federal taxes and shipping) will be calculated and displayed during the checkout process.
2.2 Subscriptions
Scibro may offer subscription or one-time purchase models for recurring subscriptions (e.g., monthly science kit subscriptions).
- However, if you purchase a subscription plan, your plan will automatically renew at the end of each plan cycle and your payment method will be charged on your next renewal unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You may view or change your subscription details anytime from within your Account settings.
2.3 Billing Date
Your billing date will coincide with the date you began your initial subscription. You are responsible for ensuring that your credit card or payment method remains active and up to date to prevent any interruptions to your plan.
2.4 Automatic Renewals
By subscribing, you agree that your subscription will automatically renew, and your default payment method will be used to charge you. You can cancel any time before your next billing cycle.
2.5 Service Territory — Canada Only (Except Quebec)
We currently only ship our Products within Canada, excluding the province of Quebec. Orders placed from Quebec or outside of Canada may not be processed.
2.6 Price Changes
We may change the price of our Products or subscriptions upon notice from time to time. If you have an active subscription and you do not agree to the Price change made during any subscription term, you must cancel your subscription before the start of the next billing cycle.
3. Cancellations & Returns
3.1 Subscription Cancellation by You
You may cancel your subscription at any time prior to your next billing cycle. This means:
- Cancellations take effect for future billing cycles only.
- You will continue to receive any Products already shipped or in the process of being shipped in your current billing cycle.
3.2 Cancellation by Us
We may suspend or terminate your subscription, deny access to the Site or its Products, at any time, for any reason. All orders or subscriptions may also be canceled by us due to supply or product disruptions or unsatisfied inventory, or for any cause not contemplated at the time of order/subscription placement.
3.3 Returns & Damaged Goods
If a kit arrives damaged, or defective, please contact us at support@scibro.com within 14 days (i.e., 14 days of delivery, with photos) and your order number.
- Return authorization is granted at our sole discretion.
- Refunds are subject to examination of the shipping conditions, product packaging, and could result in a full or partial refund or replacement.
- We do not accept returns for buyer's remorse or change of mind.
3.4 Refunds
If a refund is approved, the refund will be sent via the same method as the original payment. A restocking fee or deduction for any loss in damages may apply. If, for example, shipping was free for the initial order, we may deduct the estimated shipping cost from your refund.
4. Shipping & Delivery
4.1 Delivery Area
We ship to residential addresses within Canada, excluding Quebec. We do not ship to P.O. boxes or international addresses.
4.2 Carriers & Delivery Times
Delivery is performed via Canada Post or contract services associated with us. Delivery times are not guaranteed and may vary based on location, carrier delays, holidays, or other factors beyond our control.
4.3 Risk of Loss
The risk of loss for all Products passes to you upon delivery of the Product to the carrier.
4.4 Lost or Missing Shipments
If a shipment is lost, please contact us. Any claim for lost or missing shipments must be made in a reasonable amount of time, estimated within 14 days from the estimated delivery date. Claims outside of this timeframe may not be eligible for a refund or replacement, at our sole discretion.
4.5 Address Changes
You are responsible for ensuring your shipping address is correct and up to date in your Account. We are not responsible for re-delivery or refund of Products delivered to an incorrect or outdated address. If a product is returned due to an incorrect address, you may be charged a re-delivery fee.
5. Product Safety & Use

All Products are designed for use with adult guidance. Products may contain small parts or components that require adult supervision. All of our kits are safe for children under the direct supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
Our Products are educational tools designed to inspire curiosity and encourage a love of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) in children. They are not toys. Proper use, supervision and safety precautions are your responsibility as the end consumer.
You agree to read all the instructions, warnings, and safety information provided with each product and to follow them accordingly.
6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SITE, PRODUCTS, OR ANY SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.
WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
We do not ensure that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
We are not responsible for the availability of any third-party services or websites linked from our site. Any interactions you have with such third parties are wholly independent of these Terms and obligations on the part of the Company. We are also not responsible for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of our Products, services and materials shall be governed by the laws of Canada and its provincial jurisdictions. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly between us through negotiated means without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any legal actions or claims brought against us under or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site or Products shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in [PROVINCE], Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
