Step-by-Step Instructions
1
Build the Chassis
Cut a rectangle of cardboard about 15cm x 8cm for the car body.
2
Attach Axles and Wheels
Push wooden skewers through the cardboard for axles. Attach bottle cap wheels with hot glue.
3
Mount Motor and Panel
Hot glue the motor to one end and the solar panel on top. Connect wires from panel to motor.
4
Test in Sunlight
Take your car outside on a sunny day and watch it drive forward!
The Science Behind It
Solar cells convert light into electricity. That electrical energy powers a motor, which turns wheels and converts electrical energy into kinetic motion.
🤓 Fun Fact
Large solar vehicles use the same core principle—sunlight directly powering electric motors.
